Skills section
The skills section lets you select non-negotiable skills required for the role. You will only match with candidates who have the skills you add to this section so we recommend you use this section thoughtfully so you don't accidently miss candidates who could be great.
The list of skills available covers the most skills most commonly required by the companies we work with. If you need to add a required skills that's not in this list, please add it to the preferred qualifications section.
We purposely limit the number of options you're able to select for this field, the industry experience field explained below, and several other fields, to encourage you to think deeply about the candidates who would be a great fit for your role. For example, while other platforms may allow you to include all the skills you think might be useful for a role, we ask you to focus on what you think are your most important and valuable skills.
Industry experience section
The industry experience section lets you select non-negotiable industry experience required for the role. You will only match with candidates who have experience in the industries you add to this section so we recommend you use this section thoughtfully so you don't accidently miss candidates who could be great.
Preferred qualifications section
The qualification section is a free text field where you can explain in more detail what skills or experience a candidate will need to be successful in this role.
Example: Engineering Manager (Miro)
Below is a real example for an engineering manager role in Miro's Analytics Engineering team.
What you’ll need
Demonstrated experience leading a team to build data models / data products
Strong competencies in project management, planning, and project leadership
Significant experience working in a role focused on data modeling: data warehouse engineer, analytics engineer, data engineer, BI analyst, or equivalent
Significant experience in designing and building data models based on a strong understanding of the standards from different methodologies: Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, etc
Proven technical expertise in dbt and at least one analytical database like Snowflake, Redshift, or Vertica
Experience in training/mentoring of data practices to other data professionals
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to have
Familiarity with data pipelines / ELT tooling like Fivetran or Stitch
Experience working with BI tooling like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI
Example: Product Manager (Stripe)
Below is a real example for a product manager role in Stripe's Data Services team.
Who you are
7+ years of experience in a product role leading products at scale with significant strategic scope
5+ years of experience working on data warehouse, database, analytics, BI or data services products
Experience designing and building surprisingly good consumer-grade products in order to help modernize financial operations experiences
Experience building and scaling enterprise-ready B2B products with a focus on data/analytics/reporting/BI
Very strong technical skills e.g., ability to gain an in-depth understanding of software systems, solution and technical architecture and make meaningful contributions to high-stakes discussions on software architecture
Obsession with product quality and an eye for design, specifically an intuition for good user flows and user experiences
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
Determination to do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful
Entrepreneurial experience and/or enjoys moving quickly on new, green-field products
Empathy for the problems that businesses small and large face in their day-to-day operations, and a desire to solve those problems. You’re able to win users’ hearts by clearly illustrating the value that Stripe’s products can unlock for them
The drive to flourish with minimal guidance; you are proactive and thrive in uncertain and ambiguous environments
Track record of owning business outcomes

Familiarity with revenue, SaaS, billing, commerce and payments product domain
