Purpose of a review

While your profile focuses on where you worked, a review is a recommendation written by a current or former colleague focused on how you work. A Scoutship review helps future employers get to know what you're like to work with and what types of environments you thrive in.

Reviews are an important method to help candidates and employers assess whether a match is a good cultural fit.

Initiate a review

Reviews can be requested from your Profile Page. Learn more about how to request a review. There's no limit to the number of reviews you can request or give, however, you can give only one review per candidate.

Accept a review

Nominated reviewers will receive an email with instructions on how to access the review portal. Following the link in the email will begin the review process.

If you receive a review request, you can decline the request and aren’t required to respond. However, if you do write a review and change your mind later, you will have the option to revise a review you’ve given or delete a recommendation by emailing us with the subject "Review."

A review link does not expire, however reviews must be completed in one session to be saved. Please ensure you have at least 5 minutes available to complete the review before starting.

Reviewer identity

To help ensure that reviews are genuine we request reviewers confirm their first and last name. These fields may be pre-populated based on the information provided by the review's requester.

The review's requester and employers they share the review with will be able to see the results of the review but not your name.

Relationship to the candidate

To help ensure the reviews are genuine we request reviewers confirm their relationship to the requester. This field may be pre-populated based on the information provided by the review's requester.

Strengths

Please select the most relevant strengths from the available options. You may select up to three.

Workstyle

Please select the traits or actions that most accurately describe what the candidate is like to work with from the available options. You may select up to three.

Culture

Please select the elements of a company culture that when present, allow the candidate to perform their best work. You may select up to three.

Post-review

The review's requester and employers they share the review with will be able to see the results of the review but not your name. Once at least two reviews have been completed, the aggregated results will be visible in your profile by default.

To remove a review, please email us with the subject "Review." Please provide the name of the candidate whose review you would like to change.
